An Immersive 24–Acre Campus: Unveiling the Harmonious Aesthetic of Mt. Eden Research Park
A fully curated, 24–acre biotech campus in Hayward, California, Mt. Eden is the immersive realization of NRP Artworks visual language. Form follows function at this co-working facility where state-of-the-art bio tech lab equipment is housed in an equally inspired environment. Exterior murals, landscaping design, custom signage and the fabrication of way finding monuments all work in harmony to foster the scientific creativity and productivity of the individuals who work within this space. The design elements are inspired by the history of the land, which was once a salt field. Square shapes reflect the molecular structure of salt crystals and serve as an homage to the past. Every visual choice is an embodiment of the NRP Artworks aesthetic.
Challenge
The scale of this 35,000 sq./ft. campus posed a unique challenge. Additionally, the space required a cohesive vision that was approved of by the city of Hayward, CA.
Goal
Our goal was to turn this outdated campus into a modern and efficient space that reflected the values of our client.
Result
Mt. Eden stands as a testament to our success, where a cohesive vision and thought provoking imagery merge seamlessly to create an inspired and immersive campus in the heart of the Bay Area.
